Shell Talisman

The U.S. has left a fearsome legacy in the islands of the Marshall Island Republic.  A call and interview of the Marshallese Ambassador to the U.S. resulted in a referral to people on the island of Majuro - 171˚ E 12’/ 7˚ N 09’, who created this precious white shell necklace from local materials.  The talismanic material gathered from the rare specks of land in the Pacific is precious.  The back-story, on some talisman, can be particularly empowering and transforming, when it is ‘realized’ by the person gathering from the place.  Experiences like this advance the individuation process.
